The Committee was formed over a decade ago by local industry, government and academia leaders for the purpose of building on San Antonio's legacy as the Birthplace of Military Aviation.

We invite interested participants to join us for our next meeting.  The Committee regularly meets the second THURSDAY of each month at 3:30 pm, at the San Antonio Chamber's Northside Business Center.

2015 Committee Priorities

Aerospace & Aviation Industry Directory

  • Create comprehensive aerospace and aviation industry database to adequately promote the size and strength of the local industry in San Antonio and South Texas.

Luncheon Series

  • Host annual series of Aerospace Luncheons

New member engagement

  • Identify aerospace and aviation companies not currently participating and meet with them to share the purpose, mission and successes of this committee and ask them to be engaged

Website Re-design

  • Redesign website to better promote the assets, workforce talent and companies involved in The Chamber's Aerospace Committee

State Legislative Session

  • Effectively organize and advocate for the industry at the State level during the Chamber’s VIVA SA day and throughout the year

Federal Legislative Session

  • Effectively organize and advocate for the industry at the Federal level during the Chamber’s SA to DC trip and throughout the year

Monthly Meeting Locations

  • Create synergies and relationships by moving monthly meetings to off-site locations and engaging companies to share their expertise with committee members who may have the ability to partner on contracts that will benefit the region
